What I've Done
Hurricane Helene
Walked into fractured leadership and broken trust. Brought adversaries back to the table, rebuilt operational architecture, and reset the tone, enabling a more unified, effective response. The result: $75M in aid delivered within a month, established 8 care stations serving 10,000+ survivors faster than expected.
Hurricane Ian
Deployed to the hardest-hit zone. Moved $172M in relief and drove repairs of over 1,000 roofs in 15 days; set up the first recovery centers in the state where people who lost everything could get assistance.
Puerto Rico after Maria
Reset FEMA's broken system. Delivered $400M in assistance and streamlined housing assessments, cutting the timeline by three months for over 680,000 inspections. Launched a housing program (VALOR) that rebuilt 1,000 homes at a tenth of the usual cost.
Hurricane Sandy
Invented a program that got thousands of homes repaired months faster by empowering local leaders to act, cutting red tape.
Southwest Border
Reorganized the immigration response infrastructure. Boosted system capacity 38% before crisis hit.
Surge of 5,500+ unaccompanied children
Drove custody times from 106 to 25 hours. Cleared dangerously overcrowded Border Patrol Stations of 4,700 children in 45 days flat.
